6838 24-Hour Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield

$836.00

A motor-driven fan draws a constant airflow through the sensor chamber at 2.5 m/s. At night, when the effects of radiation are less, this solar-powered model runs on battery power and the airflow slows to 1.4 m/s. Install your own sensor in the sensor chamber. Sensor chamber: 56.8 mm x 76.2 mm. Includes 10 plates, rechargeable batteries, mounting hardware, and 7.6 m cable.

6838 24-Hour Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shields are designed for post mounting. They can be attached to an ISS but you will need additional hardware. Please contact us for details of the additional hardware required if you wish to do this.

Please note, not every application needs a Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield. They are most useful when wind speeds are low and skies are clear. It is important to note that critical maintenance is required at least monthly on the fan and associated screens to ensure continued functionality.
